The items I am working on and making for my room, the actual full finished product won't happen until things are all hung up and placed properly. But for now, I actually have something finished! I know I showed this picture before and asked for people to guess what it was for. Well, now you'll find out what I used these old license plates for. First I took tin snips and cut apart the letters. I had in mind a few words I wanted to spell out, but I didn't even really know what letters and numbers I had until I stopped cutting and laid them out. My sister pointed out I had the letters for 'calm' and 'storm'. So, I found a B and 4 and made use of a 3 for 'the' and came up with calm b4 the storm. Now, after cutting those apart the edges were rough and somewhat sharp. I have been working on a few projects here and there but nothing is completely finished yet. So, instead, I'm going to put a few pictures here and let you all guess what I'm making out of these items. If you have been one of the few I have already told, no spoiling it for the rest! Picture 1. This project is 1/3 done. And yes, those are suitcases. This next project is about 95% done. I am sure everyone knows what those are. And this next project I really just started on today and so far so good. And I think we all know what this is too. Please feel free to guess. I feel like in guessing, more ideas can come out of this!  I am still very excited about this room getting done and my sister has helped with a few ideas also.  There is a lot of work to still be done...including going through everything in my room. I had planned on doing some of that yesterday but ended up on my bed with a heat pack on my back. I did get a load of laundry done...

I don't know about all of you, but I find that when I'm trying to declutter or downsize or deep clean, the mess always ALWAYS gets messier before it gets better. So, I thought I would show you pictures of my room before. Yes, it's messy. Yes, it is green. Yes I am sharing the worst possible pictures. I could have cleaned my room BEFORE taking pictures of the before...but where is the fun in that? One of the main reasons I am wanting to do this Reno on my room is to give locations to things. Hi, I'm a small town, country loving, mountain climbing, adventure having, creative mind girl. I'm off on an adventure known as "renovating". Yes, I am on that journey of changing my childhood growing up in room into a room that is more my age. (If you don't know, don't ask.) A friend of mine told me I should do a blog to keep her, and anyone else who wants to follow along, in the loop as to how things are going. I have big ideas, big dreams and a whole lot of DIY projects. So, this is the beginning of my adventure and this blog. Maybe doing this will help me keep on top of the work. Once my room is done, I'll try to keep some updates on things I create here and there.
